Weekend was ok. There were good and bad aspects, which balanced out for a decent weekend. Bad aspects mostly involved the weather and the stupid campsite. Cold and snow I don't really mind, so long as there's warm places to go in between. NPC camp was warm, but a freaking long walk from pretty much anything, especially in the snow in the dark. The only other warm place that I had access to was the kitchen, where there was no room and no seating. The bad weather was compounded by the stupidness of the site, which had NO INDOOR MOD SPACE. This meant that plot's efforts to not screw the npcs over by limiting the amount of outdoor field crunching we had to do was negated by the camp site, because we had to fight outdoors in the mods, anyway. That also led to half of the mods being run IN or around npc housing. Was supremely less than amused when I decided to call it quits at 4 am, only to hike up that stupid hill back to monster camp and walk into a mod that was being run in and around my sleeping quarters. They were actually using our sleeping area as roleplay/fighting space, and continued to use it for roleplaying until 6 am. And, of course, because it takes me days to change my sleeping schedules by more than an hour or so, I woke up at 8:30. Not amused.
The plotline of the weekend was cool, though. Watching some of the PCs trying to be humble and subservient was absolutely hilarious, and it was very amusing to be able to walk through town as Seshai and not be immediately gunned down. Also, being a jerk is amusing in it's own right, for some reason which escapes me. Watching Carl and Ga freak people out was amusing, too. I'm still trying to decide if I had fun or not playing the stupid-ridiculously huge monster thing that was killed off. It wasn't as bad as it could have been (initially I thought that they were going to let the PCs circle-beat me for ten minutes before we started the fight), but it wasn't all that much fun, either, since I didn't really get to interact with the PCs at all. Mostly it was me and one other person beating on each other until I fell over (which was kinda silly in and of itself) and lay in the snow getting cold. Did some decent fighting which made me feel like I'm not completely hopeless, and got to do a bunch of casting, which was also fun.
So overall not too bad, though I'm completely exhausted and unable to raise my arms right now. Maybe tomorrow.
