Had a good weekend, best one I've had at Karauth, mostly because I was able to keep myself occupied most of the time, either running around doing things, writing down notes, or having several really fun roleplay conversations about nothing with various people.

Accidentally got involved with an ongoing plotline by touching something that I probably shouldn't have first thing Friday night, which led to me being instructed to take thirty bazzilion pages of notes on what was going on to turn over to royalty. I like taking notes, so aside from one person who I couldn't get to sit down and give me a straight answer, had fun with that. Also ressurrected that night (plot death), and got to see the look of utter horror on a PC's face when she saw me step into the circle as a spirit and asked (as if expecting the answer to be 'no') - Do I recognize Omi's spirit?

Went on a few mods Friday night, almost died along with the entirity of town when a barn fell on us, and generally stayed up way too late doing things. Was also asked to start working on organizing the healer's guild, which was both entertaining and frustrating. Omi doesn't like being around nobility/royalty in general, but there's so freaking many of them in Karauth, and they're always around, that she's getting used to the idea that you can't avoid them. :)

Slower day Sat, due in part (I'm told) to there being no food and the NPCs being near collapse. No good. I spent a lot of that wandering around and chatting with people, which was fun. Went on a mod and quickly discovered I was not the right person to go on said mod, and switched out with someone else.

Sat night much stuff happened very late after a slow period in which 90% of the town got totally trashed at the genie bar, which was it's own form of entertainment. Then a bunch of us got kidnapped by a huge undead, where I got to stand around while two other characters attempted to committ suicide via angry undead, and occasionally talk to said undead when they took a break to breathe.

Nice long fight Sunday, and then a slow clean-up period. We went out to dinner with everyone, and ended up staying way too late because we were having a fun time war-storying about 4 different games.

Little dead today.

Seriously, stay out of barns. There is a reason many of your adventuring peers will happily rift away to planes of destruction and evil, but will not step foot into a barn. Or a boat, actually, but moreso on the barns.

But we did stay out of the barn. Really. Apparently the entire barn was a spirit bottle (or something) and needed to be DFM'd. Never set a foot inside of it. Even stepped back about 10 feet when the formal was about to complete. Who would have guessed it was a freaking huge barn and you needed 20 feet of clearance?

But what about the Good Ship Triangle that Ashe, Telaris, and Andris did sail upon?

And a raft is better than a ship???

You cannot, no matter how much you try, fit Mark Alton and 9 unkillable undead onto a raft with a group of PCs and force them to fight.

You can, however, fit them onto a boat and force them to fight.

Rafts are better than boats.

:laughs: OK, I could see your point.

Although, regarding fitting people into places in ways which defy physics (which sounds kinda bad), how many people were in the circle of power when the Viscount of Avendale was killed? I think it was something like 8 of them in a circle of power less than three feet across. Yet they managed to fight.

Oh sure, people will cheat circles all the time, but that would just let me walk off the raft if they tried to fit too many people on one. On a boat, they can cram them in without cheating.

And, to reiterate very clearly, barns are never ok. Never ever ever go into a barn.
